The data files in this directory contain AER LBLRTM flux and cooling rate calculations
for additional cases which either were not included in ICRCCM phase 1 (halocarbons), or
were variations on ICRCCM phase 1 (ch4 and n2o). MLS indicates mid-latitude summer,
MLW indicates mid-latitude winter, and TRP indicates tropical profiles.
***IMPORTANT NOTE***
The cases without halocarbons included in this directory are the same as those in the
parent directory /ICRCCM-radiative_fluxes/data. However, in order to calculate flux
and cooling rate differences, it was necessary to rerun these cases over the 500-1340
cm-1 spectral range to produce datafiles which were computationally consistent with the
halocarbon cases. It is recommended that differences between cases (e.g. to evaluate
the effect of introducing CFCs into the MLS atmosphere) be limited to the datafiles in
this directory to exclude computational anomalies.

ATMOSPHERIC PROFILES
********************
The profiles of H2O and O3, in addition to the relevant mixing ratios of CO2, CH4, and
N2O are all provided in the datafile for each case. Since this format did not include
space for providing additional molecules such as the halocarbons, the profiles for
CCL4, CFC11, CFC12, and CFC22 at both 1990 and 2000 concentrations are provided in
units of molecular amount (mol/cm2) and mixing ratio in the following separate files:
cfc_prfl.1990_mls cfc_prfl.2000.mls
cfc_prfl.1990_mlw cfc_prfl.2000.mlw
cfc_prfl.1990_trp cfc_prfl.2000.trp
The ozone ten-year percent change profiles (1990 to 2000) used in these calculations
for MLS and MLW atmospheres are in the file:
ozone.10yr_trend
