Carbon Measurements
The total alkalinity (TALK), total carbon dioxide (TCO2), and pH were determined from titrations of seawater collected at 33 stations. The titration systems were calibrated with Dickson standard seawater before and during the cruise. The pH was determined from the initial emf reading relative to TRIS buffers. The results for Dickson samples agree with laboratory spectroscopic measurements for pH to ±0.005.
